Then he was the star of Trudeaumania, "our permanent Expo": suddenly Canada had a prime minister who could surf, shrug, frug, flip and flirt. In 1970 there was the macho Trudeau of War Measures, daring a nation of pantywaists to "Just Watch Me." More roles followed.
