Northern Star
by Lorna Schultz Nicholson
It seems Peter Kuiksak's star just keeps rising. But being the centre of attention isn't all it's cracked up to be. It seems no one sees Peter as just Peter anymore.
Inspired by the career of NHL star Jordin Tootoo, Northern Star continues one exceptional player's journey, started in Roughing and Against the Boards, toward hockey greatness.
It seems Peter Kuiksak's star just keeps rising. This young hockey hero from the Northwest Territories is the top player in his league, being pursued by agents, and becoming something of a celebrity in his adopted city, Edmonton. But being the centre of attention isn't all it's cracked up to be. It seems no one sees Peter as just Peter anymore -- least of all the star himself.

Reviews
"Sure to appeal to young hockey players, with its insights into the challenges boys face working their way through the minor leagues to the NHL, as well as readers who have already met Peter in the first two books, Northern Star has a place on library shelves ... It does a fine job of presenting an authentic hockey setting and situation."
