Young people receive a lot of mixed message when it comes to dealing with authority figures, such as teachers, parents, coaches, team leaders, and others who make decisions for them. Children are encouraged to be respectful and obedient, and yet society holds many rebels and revolutionaries in high regard.
Questioning the status quo and wanting to make your own choices is part of growing up, but everyone has to deal with authority throughout their lives. Whether they are easily intimidated by people in power or need to learn how to show respect, Authority: Deal with it before it deal with you shows children how to communicate effectively with those in charge.
